Job summary

Qualifications

• American Heart Association CPR required.
• ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification required within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for MRI examinations by confirming orders, verifying identity, and obtaining medical histories.
• Performs MRI examinations on all patient ages and maintains competency per department policies.
• Greets patients/visitors and maintains professional communication.
• Answers phones, screens and transfers calls to support Radiology communications.
• Maintains safe environment and MRI safety practices.
• Keeps supplies stocked and reports depletion for uninterrupted service.
• Documents patient and procedural data for billing and records.
• Participates in MRI performance improvement activities using PDCA cycle.
• Remains proficient with radiology and information systems.
