Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR procedures, ensure adherence to imaging protocols, and provide patient care across age groups from neonatal to geriatrics.

Responsibilities include positioning, protocol selection, quality control, and patient education, under the supervision of a Radiologist. ARDMS/ARRT registration and BLS are required, with 6 months MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 6 months as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Required
• BLS - Basic Life Support Required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
