Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine in the Chicago area seeks a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to perform MR exams across outpatient, inpatient and pediatric patients at Orland Park. You will act as a content expert, teaching technologists and students in MR scanning and safety protocols.

You will review requisitions, ensure proper imaging protocols, maintain data integrity in RIS/PACS, and coordinate with radiologists to optimize procedures and throughput in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Formal MR training and ability to apply physics to obtain high-quality images.
• Competent in MR exams and able to educate others on MRI.
• Progressively advanced MR imaging experience.
• Proficient in various protocols: MRA, Cardiac, Neuroradiology, Breast, Pediatric, Abdominal, Musculoskeletal, Thoracic, and Procedural.
• Knowledge of PACS, EPIC and Radiant.
• Current ARRT MR registration; MR certification within one year if not at hire.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MR scans and maintain competency.
• Review requisitions to ensure correct exams and timing.
• Coordinate exams with Radiologist and assess image quality and format.
• Educate staff and students on MRI equipment, PACS and workflow.
• Maintain patient safety and QA across daily operations.
