Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Radiology Department in the River East area. You will perform MRI exams on outpatient, inpatient and pediatric patients, review requisitions, and ensure imaging protocols meet radiologist guidance.

You will educate other technologists, maintain imaging quality, and assist with department operations and QA. This is a 100% onsite role based in the greater Chicagoland area.

Qualifications

• Formal training in MR scanning and physics knowledge.
• Competency to perform high-quality MR exams and educate others.
• Progressively advanced imaging experience as an MRI technologist.
• Proficient with MRA, Peripheral, Cardiac, Pediatric, Neuroradiology, abdominal, musculoskeletal, thoracic, procedural and breast imaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform MR scans as trained and maintain competency.
• Review requisitions for correct exam and timing.
• Coordinate exams with Radiologist and evaluate image quality.
• Ensure accurate data entry in RIS and proper archiving in systems.
• Educate staff on PACS and imaging workflows.
• Develop collaboration with MRI leadership and physicians.
• Prioritize daily workload with clinical teams and ensure patient safety.
