Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to ensure safe, accurate imaging in a patient-centered environment. You will educate patients on MRI procedures, monitor safety, and perform exams with attention to accuracy and comfort.

Responsibilities include room readiness, IV contrast administration, daily quality checks, and EMR/PACS documentation. Candidates should have MRI training and ARMRIT/ARRT certification eligibility or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MRI tech training and ARMRIT/ARRT certs preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI procedures and scanners essential.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality imaging.
• Experience with PACS/EHR systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use with equipment safety checks.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions.
• Position patients for high-quality imaging and monitor comfort.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast following safety guidelines.
• Perform daily QC checks and maintain EMR/PACS documentation.
• Adhere to safety and screening protocols and department policies.
• Operate MRI equipment and protocols with supervision as needed.
• Assist with general duties as assigned.
