Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an MRI Technologist II for the weekend shift at the Main Campus. You will operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, and collaborate with radiologists to produce high-quality cross-sectional images. On-call duties may apply, and a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Required are graduation from an accredited Radiology program, ARRT MR certification or equivalent, and strong patient communication. BLS at hire is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the diagnosis and treatment of neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Acquires or produces tomographic images of designated portions of the body using MRI equipment.
• Prepares and positions patients and selects parameters to produce cross‑sectional images.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images to PACS with patient data.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Maintains a clean, orderly department including rooms and storage areas.
• Performs contrast injections under supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
