Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to deliver diagnostic imaging under physician guidance in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes radiation safety and high standards of patient care across emergency, inpatient and outpatient services.

The position requires completion of a radiography program and state licensure as an RT, with BLS certification preferred. Training and growth opportunities are provided in a team-focused environment at multiple LVHN campuses.

• Understanding of how to effectively and safely use radiation producing equipment.
• Knowledge of medical technology and terminology.

Aufgaben

• Produces images of diagnostic quality, processes, and prepares images for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
• Uses appropriate exposure factors, collimation, and proper distance with documentation.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her own safety and the safety of others.
• Ensures appropriate exam is ordered for number of images provided and attached to the correct patient folder.
• Documents LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, number of images, appropriate history and all other required documentation.
• Ensures coordination of daily work duties within the team and coordinates timing of exams.
• Ensures images have crossed into PACS before study is complete.
• Reports equipment malfunction and the need for adjustment and/or repairs.
• Assists in the education and training of new employees, students, and other ancillary personnel.
