Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures using MRI scanners and RF safety practices. You will assess patients, position them accurately, and collaborate with physicians to obtain diagnostic quality images.

Preferred candidates have an ARRT-MR or equivalent certification, graduation from a JRC-accredited radiologic technology program, and at least one year of MRI experience. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for offers accepted by September 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRC Accredited program in Radiologic Technology or nuclear medicine.
• ARRT MRI certification within 24 months of hire; NMTCB/ARDMS alternatives noted.
• Minimum one year MRI experience preferred; BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Position patients accurately and monitor vital signs during exams.
• Educate and supervise students and learners in the Radiology environment.
