Job summary

VCU Health MRI Technologist role in Richmond, VA requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT within 90 days, and BLS certification. Evening shifts. Perform MRI procedures, administer contrast, assess risks, and ensure image quality for physician review. You will guide patients, document findings, and support PACS workflows to maintain high diagnostic standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Evening shift availability is expected for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures using scanners and rate of images as per protocol.
• Administer contrast safely, assess for allergic risk and interactions.
• Explain procedures to patients and families using age-appropriate language.
• Complete post-processing, image display and transfer for physician review.
• Ensure timely order closure and accurate charge entry.
