Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and support interventional imaging as needed. The role emphasizes patient interaction, safety, and accuracy in positioning and sequencing.

The incumbent will work under licensed practitioners, maintain ALARA standards, and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement within Radiology. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification or NMTCB certification required.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB prior to first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and ensure image quality.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure where applicable.
• Educate and mentor students and learners in Radiology.
• Maintain documentation and records for procedures and orders.
• Collaborate with LIP and support team during interventional procedures.
