Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking an MRI Technologist II for a full-time day shift. The role performs general MRI examinations, ensures MRI safety, documents procedures, and maintains inventories under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate has an MRI certificate program or MRI school, and appropriate radiologic tech credentials. ARRT MR or ARMRIT within 2 years is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program (Preferred).
• Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Certification/Licensure CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required).
• Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI area.
• Maintains adequate supply inventory for examinations.
• Explains examination procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation.
• Provides quality MRI imaging under supervision with protocol adherence.
• Reviews patient records for accuracy and implants using vendor resources.
• Acts as liaison with physicians and supportive care staff.
