Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an MRI Technologist for a full-time day shift. The role performs general MRI exams and ensures safety in the MRI suite, maintains supplies, and documents procedures.

You will administer MRI contrast per protocol, verify safety forms, review implants, and coordinate with physicians. Required CNMT/ARDMS/ARRT/ARMRIT, ARRT MR registry within 2 years, BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of MRI school or MRI certificate program.
• Graduate of a 24-month radiologic technology program in lieu of experience.
• CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT certification/licensure required; MR advanced registry within 2 years of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general MRI examinations with emphasis on safety.
• Maintain adequate supply inventory for examinations.
• Explain procedures to patients and complete documentation.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and review safety forms.
• Evaluate patient records for implants/devices and coordinate with physicians.
