Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our full-time day shift team.

You will perform MRI exams, ensure patient and staff safety, and document procedures, collaborating with physicians to maintain high-quality imaging standards. Required: MRI school/certificate or 24-month radiologic tech program, CNMT/ARDMS/ARRT/ARMRIT, ARRT MR advanced within 2 years, and BLS.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist must have completed MRI school/certificate program or graduate of a 24-month radiologic technology program.
• Certifications required: CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT.
• Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform general MRI examinations while maintaining safety for staff and patients in the MRI area.
• Explain procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation.
• Ensure supply inventory and assist with protocol compliance and quality imaging.
• Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate implants/devices with vendor resources.
