Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an MRI Technologist for a full-time, day shift position. The role includes performing general MRI examinations, ensuring the safety and quality of imaging, and maintaining departmental records.

A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates. Requirements include MRI schooling or a 24-month radiologic technology program, and CNMT/ARDMS/ARRT/ARMRIT certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program or graduation from a 24-month radiologic technology program.
• Certification in CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT is required.
• Arterial MR advanced registry or ARMRIT must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general MRI examinations while maintaining safety in the MRI area for staff and patients.
• Explain examination procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation.
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files and ensure proper safety screening and protocol compliance.
