Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, seeks an MRI Technologist II to perform routine and specialized MRI imaging with a focus on safety and quality. You will operate MRI equipment, select appropriate parameters, and participate in QA and patient comfort initiatives.

Qualifications

• Three to four years of MRI experience.
• ARMRIT or ARRT MRI certification required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures under general supervision.
• Demonstrate competency across locations and patient populations; select technical factors based on patient needs.
• Participate in QA activities and contribute to safety, workflow and patient experience improvements.
• Maintain MRI safety protocols and proper patient positioning to reduce artifacts and burns.
