An established industry player is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join their team in Virginia Beach. This role involves performing general MRI examinations while ensuring the safety and integrity of the MRI operational area. You will be responsible for evaluating patient safety screening forms, administering contrast agents, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Radiologic Technology and a commitment to patient care. Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of the MRI operational area for all individuals, including staff and patients. Maintains an adequate supply inventory for examinations. Explains procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation. Performs MR Tech I responsibilities, with additional competencies in one of the following areas: Breast biopsy and/or Prostate biopsy, dual modality MR/CT Tech, or Hospital-Based/Standing ED. Knowledge in Radiologic Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Sonography, or Radiation Therapy.
Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT certification within 2 years of hire.
Intravenous (IV) competency is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year radiologic technologist experience.
