Arkansas Children's Hospital is looking for an MRI Technician for a part-time role (24 hours/week). The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires an Associate's degree. Candidates should have direct experience, preferably in pediatrics.

The technician will perform diagnostic scans, ensure safety protocols are adhered to, and maintain equipment. This is a safety sensitive position and flu vaccines are required.

• Pediatric experience recommended.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.
• Use correct scan protocols to optimize image quality.
• Screen patients for pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.

Description

• Knowledge of skills to perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.
• Developed knowledge to use correct scan protocols to optimize image quality while decreasing scan length and repeat procedures; demonstrates knowledge of patient positioning and coil selection.
• Developed knowledge to properly screen patients, families, and staff with attention to pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
• Developed knowledge about and adheres to all safety recommendations regarding MRI.
• Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
• Has developed the ability to troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
