Arkansas Children's in Springdale, AR, is hiring an MRI Technologist for day shifts. This safety-sensitive, full-time position focuses on producing high-quality diagnostic MRI exams in collaboration with Radiologists while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Required education includes an Associate’s degree (or equivalent); 2 years direct experience; ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certifications are recommended. A $10K sign-on bonus and up to $36,000 loan repayment are offered to support your career.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MRI imaging and safety protocols.
  • Screen patients for pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
  • Adhere to safety recommendations and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain work area and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scan protocols to optimize image quality and minimize scan time.
  • Ensure patient safety and proper positioning and coil selection.
  • Screen patients to identify contraindications and safety risks.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Description
  • Knowledge of skills to performs diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.
  • Developed knowledge to use correct scan protocols in an effort to optimize image quality while decreasing scan length and repeat procedures, demonstrates knowledge of patient positioning and coil selection.
  • Developed knowledge to properly screen patients, families, and staff with attention to pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
  • Developed knowledge about and adheres to all safety recommendations regarding MRI.
  • Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
  • Has developed the ability to troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment.
  • Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
