Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an MRI Technologist II for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This part-time role covers 20 hours weekly, Friday through Sunday, with mid-shifts/evenings, on-call and holidays. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with location-based pay.

You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality exams while delivering excellent customer service. ARRT(MR)/ARMRIT certification and CPR are required; prior MRI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required as a baseline credential.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• Must be ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certified to perform MRI.
• IEMA licensure preferred when available.
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images under Radiologist directions.
• Positions patients and administers contrast agents as needed.
• Manipulates images to ensure a high-quality examination.
• Delivers excellent customer service and explains procedures to reduce anxiety.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.42 - $56.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

Operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. Positions patients, administers injections of contrast media and manipulates images to ensure a high-quality exam. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher
• Required: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certified
• Preferred: IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Preferred: Prior MRI experience or other radiology experience
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
