Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks an MRI Technologist II for a part-time role at Elmhurst Hospital. The position runs Friday–Sunday, mid-shifts/evenings, 20 hours per week, with on-call and holiday duties.

The role involves operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images, properly positioning patients, and assisting with contrast administration while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• IEMA licensure preferred.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images per Radiologist directions.
• Position patients and administer contrast as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure high-quality exams and patient service.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.42 - $56.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: MRI Technologist II
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst IL
• Part-Time, 20 hours weekly
• Hours: Friday through Sunday, mid-shifts/evenings
• On-Call and Holidays
• Additional Locations: Center for Health Elmhurst, Addison, Lombard

What you will do:

Operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. Positions patients, administers injections of contrast media and manipulates images to ensure a high-quality exam. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher
• Required: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certified
• Preferred: IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Preferred: Prior MRI experience or other radiology experience
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
