Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program required.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications for safety.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams, addressing questions and alleviating concerns.
• Ensures MRI safety standards and zones are maintained and staff readiness verified.
• Documents clinical history and correlates findings for radiologist.
• Manages MRI supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring sterility.
• Verifies physician orders and patient ID before starting procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to achieve optimal imaging results.
• Monitors MRI equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Provides instructions to patients during and after exams to promote understanding.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains attendance and policy compliance.
