Job summary

OSF HealthCare's Rock Cut location seeks an MRI Technologist I to operate MRI equipment, position patients and ensure high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.

Requires High School Diploma or GED; ARRT MR certification or MR certification within one year, BLS, and strong communication skills. Preferred: 2 years radiography, 1 year MRI experience.

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an Hourly position.

Overview

Position will be located at the Rock Cut location.

The MRI Technologist I cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. The technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
• Licensure / Certification: BLS American Heart Association; ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.
• Other Skills / Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years’ radiography experience; 1 year MRI experience.
• Licensure / Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) registered.
