Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an MRI Technologist I to operate MRI equipment and produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. The role includes EMR/PACS navigation, patient positioning, and providing procedure information while ensuring safe, compliant imaging practices.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, ARRT(MR) or equivalent certification (or within one year), and strong interpersonal and computer skills.

• Certification: BLS; ARRT(MR) Advanced or ARMRIT, or must obtain within 1 year of hire if not registered.
• Other skills: Interpersonal and communication skills; solid computer skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRI Technologist I cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition, the technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
• Licensure/ Certification: BLS American Heart Association; ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: 2 years’ radiography experience. 1 year MRI experience.
• Licensure/ Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) registered
