Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida in Miami, FL seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, coordinate patient flow, and ensure safety and accuracy. Responsibilities include operating the MRI scanner, documenting in patient logs, and transmitting data to PACS.

Candidates should have MRI training or ARRT-MR/ARMRIT eligibility and CPR-BLS certification. Shifts on Fridays & Saturdays are 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Enrolled or completed MRI training program.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification active within 1 year of hire.
• CPR BLS certification active.

Responsibilities

• Checks patient chart or prescription to guarantee proper exam.
• Coordinates MRI exams with other departments and doctors' offices.
• Documents required information in patient log book and scan sheet.
• Ensures patient safety and protects MRI equipment during examinations.
• Follows patient-identification policy prior to exams.
• Informs shift supervisor of equipment repair; keeps MRI clean and orderly.
• Operates MRI scanner to produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Enters and transmits patient information to PACS after completion.
