Qualifications

• Enrolled or completed an MRI training program or have 3 years of MRI technologist experience.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification must be active and in good standing within 1 year of hire.
• CPR BLS must be active and in good standing throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations as requested by physicians.
• Coordinate MRI exams with other departments and offices.
• Document patient information in logs and scan sheets.
• Maintain patient safety and protect MRI equipment during history-taking.
• Follow patient-identification policy before examinations.
• Notify supervisor of equipment repairs and keep MRI area clean.
• Maintain current education on MRI issues.
• Monitor patients in the MRI scanner with nursing assistance when needed.
• Operate MRI scanner to produce high-quality images.
• Perform scans promptly to minimize patient delays.
• Enter and transmit patient data to PACS after exams.
