Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Louisville is seeking an MRI Technologist to produce and retain high quality diagnostic MRI images while applying professional knowledge of anatomy and imaging techniques. You will prepare patients, answer questions, and ensure safe, age-appropriate care throughout the procedure.

Position requires completion of an MRI program or MR-ARRT/ARMRIT eligibility within a year, and certification within one year of hire. Training and supervision of students may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Completion of an MRI educational program or eligibility to obtain MR-ARRT or ARMRIT certification within one year of hire.
• Must obtain MR-ARRT or ARMRIT certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic MRI images meeting department and industry standards.
• Prepares patients for procedures and educates them, ensuring age-appropriate communication.
• Demonstrates understanding of patient positioning, MRI safety, infection control and quality control.
