Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies and ensure patient safety, with work on-site and/or remote. The role involves coordinating with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, and may include training new staff.

Ideal candidates will have ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, CPR, and ability to work at multiple locations. Local travel may be required and vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT/ARMRIT certification or eligibility.
• State license if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and staff.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.
