Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking a dynamic MRI Technologist to join our full-time imaging team. The role features a Monday-Friday 12:30-9:00 PM schedule and a focus on high-quality service, serving patients in a busy radiology department.

You will be the first line interface with patients, performing MRI procedures with safety checks and collaborating with physicians to meet imaging needs. Full benefits and opportunities for career development are included.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
  • Experience and training in MRI recommended; must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year.
  • ARRT license required.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Willing to take call/standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
  • Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
  • Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy.
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and to patients.

Education

MRI Technologist

Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic MRI Technologist! This position is full time, offers full benefits and a Monday-Friday 12:30-9:00 PM schedule. This individual will focus on high quality service and will be the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
