Job Summary

Performs diagnostic mammography/Dexa/X-ray procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram. Participates in CQI activities

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards and extraneous radiation to patients
  • Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure.
  • Thorough understanding of breast anatomy
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors

Qualifications

  • Prefer specific experience and training in MRI. Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment. (This will be monitored by department supervisor)
  • ARRT license required.
  • Current BCLS certification.
