Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an MRI technologist in Reno, NV. The role supports 24/7 imaging services, ensures patient and staff safety, and participates in CQI activities with the hospital and the American College of Radiology. The candidate will work in a multi‑facility system dedicated to quality care.

Qualifications include ARRT MR certification (or eligible within one year), BCLS, and 2+ years imaging experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two years radiological/imaging experience.
  • MRI experience preferred; ARRT (MR) license required within one year of employment.
  • ARRT license required.
  • Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards.
  • Determine most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shield patients accordingly.
  • Assess patient pain/claustrophobia affecting imaging and contact physician for intervention.
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that maximizes patient safety and reduces healthcare errors.

Job summary:Performs a variety of MRI and Diagnostic imaging procedures and is responsible for patient and employee safety protocols This position functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. This position participates in CQI activities as it relates to the hospital and American college of Radiology.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Two year of radiological/imaging experience.
  • Prefer specific experience and training in MRI. Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment. (This will be monitored by department supervisor)
  • ARRT license required.
  • Current BCLS certification.

Required to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.
