Job summary

The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. As an MRI Technologist for Region Two, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.

This full-time role offers a variable schedule with 12-, 10-, or 8-hour shifts, competitive incentives, and relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience in a hospital setting.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-MR (MRI) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and produce diagnostic-quality images per established protocols.
• Verify orders, collect relevant clinical history and complete MRI safety screening.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort and dignity; explain procedures and obtain consent as needed.
• Apply MRI safety practices, manage magnet safety and monitoring devices during exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast safely when indicated, including venipuncture and weight-based dosing.
• Review images for clinical acceptability and transmit studies to PACS and RIS; generate CDs as needed.
• Support operations, keep areas stocked and compliant with regulatory requirements; escalate issues to supervisor.
