Qualifications

• High School graduate General Studies on hire.
• Registered MRI Technologist within 9 months or alternative certs.
• CT technologist certification within 9 months.
• ARMRIT MRI certification within 9 months.
• ARRT Radiography certification within 9 months.
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators and visitors.
• Monitor patient condition before and after the scan for safety and comfort.
• Explain testing procedures to patients and ensure understanding.
• Position and instruct patients regarding preparation for MRI.
• Maintain knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI terminology.
• Familiar with MRI coding systems.
