Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Midland, MI is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients using advanced equipment and administer contrast materials as required. You will prepare the scan room, position patients, and ensure accurate imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role includes screening for contraindications, communicating clearly with patients, and assisting Radiologists during invasive MRI procedures.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff.
• Associates Degree or equivalent in radiologic technology required.
• MRI knowledge through AMA approved program or MiRIS MRI program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scan room and patient for MRI examination.
• Draw up IV or oral contrast as needed and set up patient data and scan parameters.
• Perform MRI scans with proper positioning and protocols; ensure image quality and order.
• Explain procedures to patients and screen for contraindications.
• Maintain equipment and assist Radiologist during invasive MRI procedures.
• Keep patient records complete and assist in infection prevention and control.
