Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging studies, prepare and position patients, set imaging parameters, and process/display images. You will assist in protocol development and perform equipment quality control to ensure accuracy and safety.

Education and credential requirements include a high school equivalency or degree, and ARRT MRI (or equivalent) certification within 12 months, plus BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience required: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
  • Certification required: BLS within 1 month; ARRT MRI OR NMTCB OR ARRT Radiography OR ARDMS OR ARMRIT credential within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs magnetic resonance imaging studies.
  • Prepares patients and positions them for imaging.
  • Sets imaging parameters and performs computer processing and displays images.
  • Assists in developing protocol for patient studies.
  • Performs quality control procedures on equipment.
