McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks an experienced MRI technologist to perform routine and complex MRI procedures, obtain histories, explain procedures, and comfort patients. You will operate and maintain MRI equipment, position patients, and ensure accurate imaging as ordered by physicians.

The role requires AMA-approved radiology training, Advanced ARRT MRI certification, and current BLS. Responsibilities include QA, safety, documentation, and potential cross-training in other imaging areas.

Formación

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Specializes in performing routine and complex MRI procedures.
• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort.
• Operates and maintains all assigned MRI equipment to ensure proper function.
• Positions patients and uses equipment to capture requested images.
• Identifies, prepares and administers medications within technologist scope as prescribed.
• Completes quality assurance and applies radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.
• Maintains documentation and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Ensures adequate supply of consumables for quality testing.
• Performs routine maintenance and checks on imaging equipment as per protocol.
• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as required.
