Job summary

Qualifications

• NYS license and ARRT MRI certification required.
• Must obtain NYS Injection Registered status within 6 months of starting.
• ARRT MRI certification within 1 year of starting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures observing specific requirements for each procedure while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Selects the best method to provide the most adequate data acquisition for any anatomical part.
• Injects contrast media as required for patient procedures.
• Performs sterile technique and maintains universal precautions.
• Post processing of data and images.
• Ensures safety practices for strong magnetic fields.
• Provides age-appropriate care to neonate through geriatric patients.
