Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) is seeking an MRI Technologist I for daytime shifts. The role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and assisting licensed practitioners with MRI interventions. A sign-on bonus of $20,000 is offered for eligible applicants.

The position requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certifications, BLS, and relevant radiologic technology training with potential advancement to MRI Technologist II based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
• Minimum 1 year-Related work experience (Preferred)
• Certification(s) and Licenses: ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, BLS

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and documented.
• Utilizes imaging protocol and optimizes factors while maximizing patient safety following ALARA principles.
• prepares and/or administers medications as prescribed.
• Evaluates images for quality and verifies data transfer and archival storage.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
