Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Pennsylvania seeks an MRI technologist to perform MRI procedures under licensed practitioners, contributing to diagnosis, research, and therapy. You will prepare and position patients, select imaging protocols, and ensure safety throughout each scan.

Candidates should hold ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT certification and preferably have specialty training in radiologic technology with a related bachelor’s degree.

Role Overview:

Responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in diagnosis, research, and therapy under the supervision of licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain correct patient information, prepare and position patients, select appropriate imaging protocols, evaluate image quality, and ensure safety principles are followed. May assist with or perform medication administration and MRI interventional procedures. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety standards to minimize risks. Ensure proper data handling, archiving, and transfer of images.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must hold relevant certification such as ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT upon hire, with new graduates required to obtain certification prior to employment. Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and data management is essential. Preferably hold a specialty training in radiologic technology and a related bachelor’s degree.
