Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center - MRI is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort. The role includes coordinating patient flow, data management, and collaboration with radiologists.

Responsibilities include image acquisition, post-processing, IV contrast administration, and adherence to QA protocols in a fast-paced MRI department. On-site position in Illinois with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year Radiology or MRI program graduate; ARRT or ARMRIT certification.
• Completion of formal MRI course at Junior College level or above.
• Ability to address diverse age groups and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Selects technical factors on an individual patient basis to provide optimal quality exams.
• Performs post-processing of computer data to enhance information.
• Operates MRI equipment and related support devices.
• Initiates IVs for contrast administration per policy.
• Reviews charges and initiates adjustments as needed.
• Produces CDs for patients or physicians.
• Coordinates scheduling and transportation for inpatients.
• Maintains MRI patient logs and scheduling integrity.
• Documents data for QA and safety initiatives.
