Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks an MRI technologist to perform complex MRI exams, explain procedures to patients, and maintain strict safety standards in a high-field environment.

The role requires WV MRI license or apprentice license, ARRT or ARMRIT certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire; sign-on bonus eligibility applies, with a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided.
• WV MRI license OR MRI Apprentice License through WV board.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification required within hire period.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and explain exams to patients.
• Perform exams in specialty areas.
• Maintain knowledge of procedures and safety.
• Assist physician during exams.
• Process exams and make available on PACS.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Delegate and evaluate care delivery.
• Pursue professional development goals.
• Complete paperwork after exams.
• Educate students and staff under supervision.
• Participate in committees for problem solving.
• Attend educational activities for knowledge growth.
• Contribute to service excellence for patients and staff.
