Job summary

McLaren is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform Magnetic Resonance examinations as prescribed by physicians and to support daily operations in the Radiology department. The role includes administering gadolinium contrast and ensuring safety in the MRI environment.

Qualifications include graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification with CPR, and MRI registry consideration or completion within one year of hire. Prior MRI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT certification and CPR certification required.
• MRI registry preferred or must become registered through ARRT in MRI within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Magnetic Resonance images according to Radiologist instructions with high quality diagnostic results.
• Administers Gadolinium contrast intravenously according to patient age, weight, and procedure.
• Keeps accurate QA/QC records, including MRI scanner warm-up.
• Monitors MRI area for non-MRI safe objects to maintain a safe magnetic field environment.
• Screens all persons entering restricted MRI area in accordance with ACR guidelines.
