Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and complex MRI procedures, producing high‑quality images under established policies. The role requires technical expertise and the ability to work under supervision while delivering patient-focused care.

You will operate and maintain MRI equipment, position patients, ensure safety, complete documentation, and support other radiology areas as needed. Full-time schedule with on-call duties and 7:00 am start times.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in performing routine and complex MRI procedures.
• Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort.
• Operates and maintains all MRI equipment to ensure proper function.
• Positions patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
• Properly identifies, prepares and administers medications within the technologist’s scope as prescribed.
• Completes quality assurance and practices radiation safety to reduce exposure.
• Maintains documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Performs routine maintenance and checks on imaging equipment.
• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
