Job description

Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. They demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, image quality, and apply professional knowledge to prepare patients for procedures, educate, and respond to questions or concerns. They ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, patient education, and principles of physical and functional growth and development. The role requires understanding patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, equipment, infection control, and quality control. Additionally, the technologist oversees and trains students providing patient care and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

Required:

• State Radiography License (RO) and one of: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT, and must obtain ARRT-MR or AMRIT within 1 year of hire.
• OR Temp State Radiography License (ROT) and must obtain ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT prior to expiration, and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire.
• OR certification in RDMS or ARRT-S, and must obtain ARRT-MR or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire.
• OR ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification.
