Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking an MRI technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare patients, position them correctly, and set imaging parameters. The role includes image processing, QA, and collaboration with radiologists.

Position requires MR imaging certification and BLS; a 36-hour day shift schedule (Thu/Sat/Sun) with a $20,000 sign-on bonus is described. Onsite work at 243-245 Charles Street, Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in medical imaging required; ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT within 12 months of hire preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of MRI safety and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform MRI studies, including patient preparation, positioning and parameter setup.
• Acquire images and perform quality assurance scans; consult radiologist as needed.
• Injections of MR contrast agents and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain safety policies and respond to emergencies in the MRI area.
