Job summary

Atrium Health Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures in accordance with department protocols. The role involves operating MRI scanners and related equipment, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating with radiologists and other staff.

This full-time position offers a 40-hour workweek (Mon-Thursday 6:30am–5:00pm) with on-call and holiday rotation, a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT registry eligibility or ARMRIT program required with MR registry within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment per department protocols.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and prepare patients for procedures.
• Obtain and document patient history and required data.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff during exams.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards during MRI procedures.
• Assist in patient care and transport as needed.
