Job Summary
The MRI Technologist I performs procedures according to departmental protocols, operating MRI scanners and associated equipment proficiently, including post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, oxygen and suction equipment, patient transport, and monitoring tools.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Moderate to heavy lifting, frequent standing, walking, and bending. Exposure to physical conditions like climbing stairs and moving equipment. Adherence to radiation safety guidelines is essential.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited two-year AMA-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program or actively enrolled in an ARMRIT or ARRT registry-eligible program. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine, and MRI registry within one year of hire, are required. CPR certification is also required.
