Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist Aide (per diem) to support our Cape locations in Hyannis, Harwich, Sandwich, Yarmouth and Falmouth. The role involves setting up exam rooms, assisting technologists, and ensuring patient comfort in a fast-paced imaging environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and strong interpersonal skills. Per diem pay ranges from $17 to $29 per hour, with benefits as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room and preparing exam materials.
• Explain procedures to patients and reassure them as needed.
• Assist in positioning patient and ensuring safety devices are in place.
• Provide comfort to patients and assist with mobility as needed.
• Support in completing paperwork and retrieving prior exams.
• Assist with data entry and cleaning/stocking exam rooms.

Per diem needed in all Cape locations: Hyannis, Harwich, Sandwich, Yarmouth & Falmouth**Job Description:****What you will do*** Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.* Assist Technologist in setting up the room. + Set up proper coil for exam + Ensure there is clean linen + Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.* Assist in the patient interview process. + Safety check list. + Symptoms and history. + Determine if prior exams. + Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam. + Explain procedure to patient. + Reassure the patient if anxious.* Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam. + Aid the patient getting on table. + Ensure all safety devices are in place. + Help makes the patient comfortable.* Assist technologist upon completion of exam. + Remove the patient from bore. + Remove all safety equipment.* Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.* Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.* Assist getting all prior paper work.* Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.* Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.* Assist with Tech Data Entry.* Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.**What you need:*** High School Diploma or equivalent.* CPR certification required.* Excellent interpersonal skills required.* Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.**Additional Job Description:**The pay range for this position is $17/hr-$29/hr + benefits.
