Job summary

Shields Health Care Group in Hyannis, MA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams with patient-centered care and strict safety adherence. The role requires MRI experience and ARRT/CPR credentials, and ARMRIT acceptance at some locations.

You will train and collaborate with radiologists and nurses while maintaining quality imaging standards. Responsibilities include patient positioning, contrast administration when needed, data entry, and timely delivery of films to the Radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and protocols for patient exams.
• Inform patients about each exam and obtain consent.
• Position patients and ensure comfort during the scan.
• Administer contrast when required and monitor for reactions.
• Record data and forward films to Radiologist after exams.
• Maintain equipment and assist with room re-supply as needed.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.* Administer intravenous contrast.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.* Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
