Job summary

Shields Health Care Group in Lowell is seeking an MRI Technologist Aide for a part-time role to support imaging teams at multiple facilities. You will help set up rooms, prep patients, and assist technologists during procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and excellent interpersonal skills. You will assist patients with mobility, move equipment, and help with basic paperwork and stocking.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper policies to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room and patient preparation.
• Assist in the patient interview process, explain procedures, and reassure anxious patients.
• Assist in positioning the patient for exam and ensure safety devices are in place.
• Aid in paperwork, prior exams, and data entry; help with room cleaning and stocking.

The Technologist Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff while maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.**Job Description:****What you will do*** Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.* Assist Technologist in setting up the room. + Set up proper coil for exam + Ensure there is clean linen + Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.* Assist in the patient interview process. + Safety check list. + Symptoms and history. + Determine if prior exams. + Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam. + Explain procedure to patient. + Reassure the patient if anxious.* Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam. + Aid the patient getting on table. + Ensure all safety devices are in place. + Help makes the patient comfortable.* Assist technologist upon completion of exam. + Remove the patient from bore. + Remove all safety equipment.* Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.* Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.* Assist getting all prior paper work.* Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.* Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.* Assist with Tech Data Entry.* Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.**What you need:*** High School Diploma or equivalent.* CPR certification required.* Excellent interpersonal skills required.* Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
