Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist in Brockton, MA, for a part-time role. Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) from 7:30am to 6pm, you’ll support patient exams, position and monitor patients, and administer contrast as needed.

The ideal candidate has MRI scanning experience and current MRI/ARRT/CPR credentials, with ARMRIT accepted at some sites. Strong interpersonal skills and computer use are essential for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications are required, with ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require call rotation.
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
• Physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration.
